Overslept, but got the recycling out. I’ll take my shower at lunchtime.

Busy at work, but that's okay. I like being busy. I have a list of things to get done before I leave.

Got my RSV shot. I had pounds of clothes on because it was 19F/-7C out, and I had to pull them off to get down to my t-shirt underneath. The pharmacist joked, “Oh, there is a person under there.” Then I got my library books.

Bella went outside while I was bringing stuff in. There was a possum on the other side of the fence, and she wanted to spend the night looking for where it went. I had to bring out the squeaky ball, which she loves, to get her to come in. Zen and the Art of Manipulation :)

Everyone’s fed except me. I’m planning to remedy this.

Bella pulled down one of my spider plants, so I need to repot it. And hang the pots in the kitchen soon.

I'm exhausted. I didn't get a lot of sleep last night, plus I might be feeling some side effects of the shot. I'm going to go to bed and get up early to do things.

Woke up with my alarm at 7.

I had Lily and Bella attending my shower. I took off my pajamas to go into the shower, when I felt a dog nose on my butt. I laughed and told Bella that I didn't need my butt sniffed. But yes, she's a dog.

Yikes, I had an RSV vaccine scheduled for tonight, but it was scheduled for Lincoln! Oops! I rescheduled it locally for tomorrow. I'm taking Bella to the vet today, so that's enough health care.

Got the car cleaned out (well, I threw stuff in back, but it could use a good cleanout). Got the harness on Bella and adjusted it somewhat, but she wasn't cooperating.

Oh man. I got the harness on Bella, and she was tolerating it fairly well. I got the leash on her, which she was less thrilled about, and got her to the car. Then she balked on getting into the car. She got in once and I got out to close the door, and she came back out. I tried again, and she pulled--and pulled her harness off. I didn't know that was possible, but her legs were up on the seat. She hung around though, and I managed to get her into the yard. I have a new appointment for Monday, and we'll work on getting into the car with treats involved.

I seriously need carbs. I have a Walmart order coming tonight. Well, it came this afternoon, and I loaded on carbs. I saw a post on Facebook that said that Walmart is contributing to Project 2025. I'm fairly dependent on Walmart. Maybe I can switch to Meijer?

Bella was looking guilty/sad. I told her that I wasn't trying to get rid of her, just take her to the vet. I petted her, and she perked up a little.

Lily snuck upstairs while I had my hands full of carbs. I've been letting her nose around, but Mimi just saw her and is growling. No screams though. (She screams at Oliver.) Lily seemed unimpressed, but she respected Mimi’s space. Lily liked the tree window. Lily liked it up there and ran in again when I fed Mimi, so I picked her up and took her out of there.

I’m trying to buy a ramp to make it easier for Bella to get into and out of the car. I’m getting an error, so I’ll try later from my laptop.

I’m feeling tired but wired, so I should get stuff done and get to bed earlish. I hate to disturb Bella though. She’s clearly exhausted. I did get up and so did she.

I opened some Amazon boxes for my trip. I shelled out for a new Kindle because the one that I have is large and meant for annotating books. I usually read books on my phone but don’t want to run my phone battery down while I’m traveling. I got a small Kindle Paperwhite. The Kindle figured out who I was based on my WiFi, logged in, and downloaded all my books automatically. Pretty slick, Amazon. I’m charging it up. I need to clean out my travel backpack and start packing stuff in it.

Practiced piano and spent some quality time with Zara, who has been getting short shrift. I need to keep it up.

Got the recycling bin filled. I need to get up early to get the bins out and to take flattened boxes out (which will take a while).

I panic scheduled my RSV vaccine because RFK Jr. was confirmed. Who knows what will happen.

Woke up with my alarm. It's a pajama day today.

The check posted, so yay. It's bill-paying day tonight, plus I might order some seeds and plants for my garden. They'll ship them at the right time for my climate zone.

We have a staff "watercooler" over Zoom on Fridays. We wound up talking about politics part of the time because it's on everyone's mind.

I mentioned on [personal profile] sunshine_two's post that I wish that I had an "I hate Trump" flag. I'm going to order a yard sign: "In this house, we know:/Feminism is for everyone/Black lives matter/We are all immigrants/Science is real/Kindness is everything/Love is love" (done). I hope that Bella won't pull it out of the ground. (She might.)

I just ordered a bunch of boxes of Girl Scout Cookies from the daughter of a colleague. I remember being a Girl Scout and selling cookies.

The dental office called me to confirm my appointment on Monday, but I didn't catch them before they left for the weekend, so my appointment might not happen on Monday. Aargh.

Oh ugh. Freezing rain tonight.

Damn, I'm tired. I'm stuck on what I was working on at work, so I'm trying to stay awake. I have another project that I could pick up for a little while.

The freezing rain started. Bella was outside and noped out. I’m less-than-thrilled that she didn’t do her business.

I was wondering why I didn’t get a reminder for a haircut. Apparently, I didn’t make an appointment (now done).

I ordered dog and cat food from Costco. Fed us all.

Napped and slept until midnight. Bella is eating her dinner.

Brought Mimi's fountain downstairs to charge and clean. Paid bills. Scheduled singing and piano lessons. I want to order seeds and plants, but I want to measure my garden to get a better idea of how much to order. I think that the sunny-side garden will be sunflowers with coneflowers in one part and zinnias in another. Wildflowers along the fence. Donated to the ACLU, Amnesty International, and Per Scholas, which trains blue-collar workers to be tech workers.

Woke up at 9 AM. Did my morning routine and napped.

I rescheduled my RSV vaccine because I couldn’t find a sleeveless shirt. That gives me a couple more days to find one. Realized that if I’m not getting my vaccine, I have time to go to the post office, so I grabbed my ThredUp return.

Now I’m at Urgent Care. It’s not where I thought it was going to be at all. They weren’t able to get the wax out of my ear, and said to use Debrox at home.

Stopped at Walgreens to get some packing tape and cosmetics. Also bought a protein bar because I was hungry. Ran to the post office. I was kicking myself because I didn’t have the items to return at Kohl’s, but this gives me time to have lunch and get the Halloween decorations down.

I was looking for the jacket that I inherited from my aunt. I haven’t found it yet. I found a bunch of pairs of jeans that are too big for me though.

Had my songwriting class. He wants me to do the work next week, so I need to come up with something.

Had dinner and fed the cats. Now I’m going to take a nap. Overslept, so I’m not going to make it to Kohl’s. I don’t want to go to Meijer right now. It’s dark and cold out.

Gathered up pairs of size 18 jeans (two sizes up) to donate, but one of the pairs smelled funny, so they’re in the wash.

The cats wanted to be fed (done). I had two pairs of eyes staring at me.

Emailed the company from which I ordered swimsuits. I haven't heard anything from them.
