I had my meeting with the cat behaviorist. She was the host of "My Cat from Hell" on TV. The behaviorists all cost around the same, so why not get the best? She gave me a list of supplements that should calm the girls down, plus an alternative to Feliway. She also had a recommendation of another kidney disease food for Zara to try. She recommended a play session once a day with catnip and recommended some toys. She said to keep both of them downstairs in the new house so that they have to interact. Oh, and I'm supposed to rub both of them with a cotton sock to exchange their scents.

She also thought that another cat was a good idea, so it would stop Zara and Mimi obsessing about what the other one was doing. She recommended a young (not a kitten) female cat. She said that male cats play-fight throughout their lives, and if I wanted a male cat, get two. Actually I found a sister-brother bonded pair that looks promising, but do I want four cats? Three is my "natural" limit. But it would be good for the youngsters to play with each other. (I'm going back to my original idea of getting a dog after Zara passes away. I'm looking for cats who are dog friendly.)

We're meeting right after the move. She said that now was a good time to meet because we're getting "a new start".

The real estate guy said that we need to take the wallpaper down in my mom's house and paint the area. Sigh. This house. I feel like we're rebuilding it.

I intended to attend a study session for my programming class, but overslept my nap. Oh well. I’ll do better next week.

The packer guy is free to come again on Sunday. I need to clear the dresser on Saturday.

When I was filling out the questionnaire for the cat behaviorist, I realized that the litter boxes are old and need replacing. I don't like the new litter boxes that I bought from Petsmart. I found ones on Amazon that I like, but they didn't have jugs of litter, and my pet sitter can't lift the large containers. I ordered more litter from Meijer and added some food to the order too. Speaking of my pet sitter, I need to contact my pet sitter about the upcoming Urbana trip (done).

Now I think that I'll do a couple of chores and go to bed.
