An eventful day
Sep. 23rd, 2008 10:37 pmThe kitties have landed safely in Detroit. They're now at my mom's house hiding under the bed (poor babies), although they did a little exploring of the room that they're in. I'm breathing a deep sigh of relief.
The movers came and took my stuff.
The one snag is that we still don't have all the documents required for closing. Cynthia thinks that escrow will close on Friday (the day I originally planned to leave). I need the money from the sale in my bank account before I leave, which might take an extra day of processing time. So I called the movers and asked them to keep my stuff in storage for an extra week. I'm hoping to leave on Saturday, but if I need to stay until early next week, I can do so without worrying about getting to Detroit in time to rent the storage area and meet the movers.
I'm exhausted.
