Jet-propelled
Aug. 30th, 2003 09:59 pmThis week was one of those weeks where I lived and died by my to-do list. At work, I was scrambling to get stuff done before I went on vacation. I didn't finish everything that I wanted to get done, but did enough to appease Chronos. Outside of work, I got the remotes for the Honda, gave away the Mazda (that was tougher to deal with than I would have thought), got a blood test to appease my doctor, etc.
Now I'm leaving for Portland tomorrow morning. Because I've been busy and because I've been packing over the last couple of days, it doesn't seem real yet. And here it is 10:00, and I just have to throw a couple more things in the suitcase and print off the instructions for the pet sitter, and I'll be ready. I'll have a couple of hours to work on the place, and I'll still get some sleep. Amazing.
Harlee has seemed really insecure since her ordeal last weekend. She's been following me around and has been more vocal than usual. I hate to leave her, but I'm sure she'll be okay.
